What color are you going to dye your Twiggy? And what is her original color? Good Luck!
thanks for that!
I am planning to dye my Twiggy red! or black... she is a 06 lilac but the handles are very very dark (almost black!) and the overall bag is dirty and faded to lilac-greyish so i am contemplating to dye it to another color, i dont live in the States so LMB is out of question while the local shop would only dye it to black or brown for almost US$200

Well, good luck with your Dye Job! Be sure to wait for it to dry completely between coats! And also be sure to post pix so we can see your end result!

Cleo, Just wondering how your dye job is holding up. I dyed my off white twiggy from white to black (it had bright pink ink stains so I had to choose a dark colour) and it's great apart from some random specks of dye that flake off to reveal the original colour underneath. It's easy enough to touch up but I'm curious as to whether maybe it's just me and I didn't apply it properly - even though I did thin layers this time and waited for them to dry in betwen, or if it's the dye.... TIA!

I know this is kind of late, but better late than never. My dye job is holding up great! She still looks just like she did the day I finished her! When I was doing the handles and if they touched the body of the bag while drying then the dye would come up where they touched and it showed the original color of the bag. The dye doesnt really absorb into the leather like that, really it's more like a paint. So I doubt it's you, it's probably just the nature of the dye. Does it happen often?

Amacasa~ If you still want to know the dye brand we used was Tarrago. You can get it online or in shoe repair stores!
