Gasp..I re-dyed my skyeblue makeup to..dark magenta!

..and no, I'm not crazy :) (or maybe a bit..)
My skyeblue makeup was a very cute lil fellow,baught her used and beat up and yellowed and knew that i wasn't gonna use her much!
I did some research and found a guy in austria that specialised in treatemend, conditioning and dying aniline leathers and took her there!
well to cut short..she's now a gorgy dark magenta! the leather is still soft ,there's no smell whatsoever etc. I decided to also colour the hardware in exact the same colour as on new bags because I liked the look of it so much on the new bags!
I have to say I love the outcome, but was scared at first..

how did you manage to change the color of the harware as well? Do you think the zip an studs will wear bag to pewter?

oh wow... i thought maybe you girls would tell me it was a very bad choice :)
The hardware is painted with a laque in the same colour as the dye..
it may use of the same way as normal hardware does..no chipping involved though..(like brass is shining through on the edges a little..) he showed me and i quite liked the effect...

wow! it looks quite good! they yumminess of the leather seems to be intact, too! maybe this is close to what the new matching hardware bags will look like?

Brave choice!! I like the redye color on the leather but not over the hw.
