Hi Rere! How's the redying going? I just finished with mine, I too had to do it after reading dstars thread. Mine turned out great! I still have a few little touch ups to do, but for the most part she looks brand spankin new! Cant wait to see how yours turns out! If you havent started it, dont worry too much about it...it will turn out fine! I was pretty scared at first, too. I started on the removable strap part first just in case it turned out horrible. But it didnt and before I knew it I was knee deep in the project! Good Luck~~~

Hey Cleo! I just commented on your thread too. Saw that we were all following the leader.

I think yours looks fabulous! And again, I'm so shocked at how fluffly the leather remains. If I closed my eyes and touched my bag, I'm sure I couldn't feel the dye on there which is a major plus.

Post more pics! I'm gonna post some pics soon too.

Here goes nothin!

1: The playground, preparation for the makeover. Towels spread eagle over my table, with my trusty laptop at the top right corner there just incase I felt like trolling eBay.

2 & 3: THE TARRAGO DYE #36 and preparer. The preparer gets spread all over the bag with a cloth before any dye is to be applied. Supposedly it cleans the leather and rids of of excess oil/dirt so that the dye can stick. I didn't photograph the preparer since it didn't make much difference on my bag as it wasn't dirty.

4 & 5: The tools and instructions. The tools consist of a small brush and a sponge applicator. The sponge applicator couldn't have been any smaller. The little black eyeshadow brush is from my own tool box since I knew there were areas where I wouldn't be able to reach with the tools given.

And so it begins.............................

1: The directions specify to shake the dye until it becomes one monogamous color. I shook the sh**t out of it. Mama didn't raise no fool!

2 & 3: Stir the dye up if you didn't shake it to bits already - and apply a couple brush strokes onto the sponge applicator like so.

4: Take a sip of this to relax the mind, loosen the muscles: and dive right in. Don't worry - its diet.
