Anyone have problems with hardware rub off on handles?

I usually carry my bal bags with the strap and of course the handles are going to flap down and they touch the two flat pyramid cone looking hardware (I don't know what to call them) underneath and I noticed that the hardware is leaving marks one on the bottom of the handle and one above where it touches those two hardware. This is most noticeable on my white city. Its not a really dark mark but a slight discoloration. I'm pretty sure it will get darker over time from constantly touching it. I see it and it bothers me. I tried taking pics but it won't show up. I will try again later and post it. I wonder if this is happening to anybody else?

I'm trying to figure out a way where I can still carry it on the strap and not have to worry about the hardware rub off on the handles. I was thinking about putting something on top of the hardware like clear nail polish or something so it can coat it and act as a barrier so it won't rub off on the handles. Has anyone tried this or something else that works??

YES!!!

OMG, on my Apple First there are rub marks that are pretty much there to stay

Well, not "same" regarding the AG First, but with the studs leaving marks on the handle.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I have the RH. I assumed other people had the same prob but UGH!!! It's so frustrating. I'm trying to find a solution and hopefully I find it soon!

My rouge vif City and Purse both had that problem... I wonder why it happens on some bags and on some it doesn't.

Me, too. i have an orange metallic and the leather is soft. the studs are leaving dents and rubbing off the metallic color.

i know its not exactly the same prob you guys have but i have noticed my other handles have little dents. now i store the bags both handles up so the weight of the bag does not add more pressure. my top zipper on my grey first has left brownish marks on the inner leather but you can't see it unless you pull the top of the bag apart.

My Rouge VIF city did that too! At first I couldn't figure out where the marks had come from since I was soooo careful with it. When I figured it out, I was like
