This particular bag took over 20 hours to make!

I live in Vegas & lets just say I know ALOT about that store.
I refuse to shop there, will only buy in NYC or Italy.
I've seen that bag many times, never with it saying Gianni Versace.
I'm through with this discussion.

Vegas, isn't that store in LV a franchise? I have heard stories too about some of the merchandise too... won't say much else.

I agree the tags look real as they match the real that I have but I have not seen these before so it is hard to tell.

^i'm just wondering what you mean by that comment? Just curious what is wrong with the store?

This bag was also sold at a high end boutique here and it was on eLUXURY and all the bags say "Gianni Versace"...these bags were just released last year

check the Versace website:
http://www.versace.com/flash.html
...the bag is listed under "limited" section...look up the history and the collection! You will see that they offer lots of additional limited edition products with the "Gianni Versace" label and it is only used for the limited edition products!

My friend ordered the smaller version of my bag from the Versace store in LA and the 2 bags are the same!

All i'm trying to say is that the "Gianni Versace" label is still being produced but it is usually very limited or highly priced! But I agree with VEGAS LONG LEGS that it is also the collection that is faked the most! And since they are priced at a higher price point the likelyhood of you seeing it for significantly less is unlikely. I have seen my bag listed once before and it was authentic, and every other time it was a fake! I also saw a authentic version done in pink python leather.

Here some more Gianni Versace Coutures bags from eLUXURY.com:

The Eat/West bag: http://eluxury.com/estore/browse/pro...sp?id=11302039#

The Quilted Couture Satchel: http://eluxury.com/estore/browse/pro...sp?id=11051815 (this is the style that I saw in the pink python)

The Snap Out of It bag (the SAME bag that I have):
http://eluxury.com/estore/browse/pro...sp?id=11302071 (This bag is currently sold out but it says in the description that the plaque is engraved with "Gianni Versace Couture")

Generally speaking the Gianni Versace Couture collection is the collection with the Logo Quilted (NAPA) Leather in the iconic greek pattern. Versace may sometimes produce similar style bags that are not part of the Gianni Versace Couture line but have a similar design. They did this with the Snap Out of it bag because it was one of the most popular bags...http://eluxury.com/estore/browse/pro...sp?id=11441194

Just for future reference, I have a number of Versace handbags that I paid retail for at the boutique, and none of them ever came with a hand tag or auth card. There is usually a high-gloss paper Versace tag located in the inside pocket. I recently asked my SA about the auth card and he told me that he's never sold a bag that came with a card. Once you see the "real deal," it's so easy to spot the fakes.... and the fakes are every where on eBay. Keep posting your finds here, and we will let you know when you've found a good one

I know this discussion has all but ceased but I still feel the urge to chime in.

I live in Dallas, and we have a Gianni Versace (yes, Gianni is in the name) boutique here. And as pro_shopper has done a wonderful job showing, the "Gianni" name is still very much so in use. And its not restricted to only the Couture line of accessories (shoes, handbags,a mens messenger, small accessories and luggage are all available).

Now as to fakes, if you see a Couture bag that isnt used and/or over $1000 its pretty sure to be a fake. Just because of the shear craftsmanship that goes into those items, anyone who knows the real thing will be able to spot a fake right away due to shoddy quilting. For other bags: turn to the medusa, and be happy that Versace has such a complex logo that replica makers just cant seem to get down, if it doesnt look like whats on eLUXURY or the website, it simply isnt real.

Ok, I promise Im about done with my rant :) but I thought i should mention the store in Vegas since its come up repeatedly. The vegas store is now the only Versace Jeans Couture (VJC) carrying boutique in the US. The VJC line is made under contract by Ittierre S.p.A. (The same company producing D&G, Galliano and Just Cavalli). Yes, it is a legit Versace boutique so now worries there people, in fact if you are close enough to it to actually shop there then you should consider yourselves lucky. And I got this info from my friend who is the key holder at Versace here in Dallas so I'm thinking the info would be accurate.

Best of luck with your shopping everyone.

P.S. Pro_shopper, thats a beautiful example of the Couture line you have there

^ Thank you! I thought that you summed everything up nicely! Yes, the couture line includes much more than just handbags and shoes! In fact, I have seen the couches that they make with the stitched leather so i'm guessing its from the couture line. They even have limited edition Versace lamborghini with the same leather interior and plaques!

Ah yes the Versace lamo, 5 made in black, 5 in white all with a $500,000 price tag. Whats not to love? haha. And yeah, I've seen/looked into getting one of the couches with that stitching...however, the $28,000 price is a bit of a turn off lol i think ill wait for that one

I would need closer pics to be sure, but from what I can see- this is a fake. It looks very cheap (hanging zipper and leather). Again, I would need closer pics of the Medusa icon and interior label and lining to be 100%. JMO.
