Hi, I've been cleaning my room and found this Versace wallet my mom gave me a long time ago because she didn't want it. She got it from a friend who bought it in Japan, at least like 10 years ago. And I would like to know if it's authentic.

I haven't found any production or date codes.

This looks EXCELLENT. I would like to see the print on that zipper pull. Also can you tell me if the inside is fabric, in kind of metalic gold?...From what I see this is looking good aswell!!!

It says YKK on the zipper pull. I believe that's some zipper brand because I see it a lot on clothing. And the lining is made of metallic gold silky/nylon-ish fabric (there's also three slots for cards and such in each of the three compartments).

Wonderful!!! I was wondering it it said versace on the pull but your golden.....Lovely vintage piece dear Excellent condition aswell. If I had girls I would keep it to pass along. Finding authentic Versace this age and in this condition is a diamond in the ruff. True Versace like this will only go UP UP UP in value. I hope you plan to keep it.

My wife's just been given this bag by a lovely lady who is a regular visitor to her work - the donor is 'comfortable' so I imagine the bag is indeed genuine, but I'd be interested to know if you think it is or not! And (if it's allowed!) a rough idea of its value and age would be very much appreciated. It's part leather and part hide/fur of some kind. There are no 'medusa' or other logos or any of the 'Greek' chain/twist decorations, and the 'Versace' imprints on the various metal parts are very clear (unlike the photos, sorry!)

I'd be very grateful for any opinions!

Well the purse looks modern. (Made within the last 5 years) Im very concerned about that fur. It almost looks like cowhide or pig or is it real fur? It does look like fake fur in a few of the shots and if any of those are the case its Fake. They (VERSACE) would never use cow fur. Versace is by no means cheap, never has been. Normally it is very hard to get your grubs on. They only make things using the best of the best materials. So anything done in any type of fur or leather is going to be rare or exotic or of the highest value for that type of leather or fur.

Thanks gaga - from what I can see, it certainly seems to be real fur, wouldnt have said it was either cowhide or pig as it's too soft, and there doesn't seem to be any 'backing' like I'd have expected . Dunno if that helps. Any suggestions?
