AmazingMax,
Do a search here: http://forum.purseblog.com/authenticate-this/ for the website you have questions about. Also see the link in my signature, it does list some of the websites that sell counterfeits. |

I love this blog it is so well organized! The authenticity issue bothers so many people. I would like to post a question to about a new method to authenticity an item. A friend on main is developing a hidden tag that will be part of the bag. If you are interested in a bag you will point your cell phone at the bag, if the bag is real, (it will have the hidden tag) and you will get a response massage to your cell phone with the bag information approving it is authentic. Would you like to use it?

No, I am not selling; as there is no product for sell, (the tag is for the manufacture).
I am interested in authentication and I have heard about his solution and wondered if people will like it. I am interested in the social aspect. As we, all can see it is a major issue for many, which are not familiar with the original item. Some of the fakes are so well done! when you buy an item for 100$ that cost at the retailer 1500$ do you believe it could be the real item? On the other hand, when you buy it for 700$ and the price is good but not cheap and you get a high quality fake. What is the motivation? Does one convince herself that it is real? |

Dear Mod,
I saw you started a sub forum for Isabella Fiore Authentication but no one seemed to be using. Should I start using your subforum now since you started one. I don't want to start another thread just to ask my question since it s authentication question parties. Please let me know what I should do. Thank you for your help. |

My first Purse Forum entry... hope I'm doing this correctly! I love Gryson and own two bags, the small Elissa and the Ava. Thus I'm familiar with the characteristic of these older bags: the beautiful leather that smells yummy, the suede linings, the great hardware and the "made in Italy" tag inside. I have my eye on a Hannah in Leaf on ebay, but I see it has a cotton lining and a "made in China" tag. Obviously that doesn't look good, but the ones I see online (ie. Saks & Revolve Clothing) also have a cotton lining. Also, why hasn't the company's own website been updated in so long? Can anyone help clarify for me? Thanks!

I bought 3 jackets recently at a local thrift store. All three are marked with Thierry Mugler's blueish tag. However, one tag is slightly different. As well, inside this third jacket are tags which appear to have Japanese writing on them. This is 100% wool just like the other 2 and the quality is amazing and the jacket is from the 1980s - that I am sure of. Does anybody know if Thierry Mugler had items made in Japan years ago. I can't believe this is a knockoff and in fact, I don't think Thierry Mugler's designs are forged? Are they?? Anybody know. Thanks

Thanks for the use advice.
As a newbie, it does take a while to get used to the system. |
