Question Please Authenticate This Christian Louboutin

Hello everybody!
I'm a newbie here so forgive me as I was unable to search for past threads to give me any tips for authenticating CL.

eBay has a pair of Mary Jane Iowa Louboutins and although the price seems too good to be true, the listing states there is a small puncture hole in the sole and one on the strap to prevent returns. Is this a common practice, marking the shoes like this?

The item no. is 270233959883

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
