They say that a lot of fakes are going around. Is this bag authentic?

can't say for sure, but looks OK so far. has proper Larabee Dot lining, the leather tie looks good and zipper pull looks good. I'd need to see more things up close, including the label up close, to be 100% sure. Does the hardware have the Noel mark on it? Then it's good.

Agreed. I'd ask for a clearer picture of the kate spade label.
