After doing alot of research I absolutely know now that you cannot buy designer bags wholesale. I started off with all of this very unaware but through about 7 months of constant research and educating myself I know all too well how it works! Yes I did receive my money back.

Your quote
"The warehouses are strategically located in remote areas to remain secure and secret"

that says it all there......secure, secret and SHADY....
the site mentioned by the OP is sooooo fake and tacky!!!!!!

I am 52, and have owned many a bag. I KNOW the difference between the real thing and a cheap fake.......

The warehouses are strategically located in remote areas to remain secure and secret.

All misguided contributors that think one can only buy authentic bags in a desigener boutique, Neiman's etc. is completely incorrect in assuming such. Authorized buyers purchase direct from the warehouses and resell to some of the most reputable and high end brick and mortar boutiques in the U.S. as well as to the online boutiques that can afford to purchase the authetic items. Please people, don't judge a book by its' cover! Thank goodness for these sellers as 85% of the American women could not afford the designer boutique prices.

May I ask the buyer if she approached the seller in a professional manner about her concerns regarding the Louis Vuitton bag? Where was it disqualilifed? Was the seller contacted by the disqualifying agent to discuss the issue or as most do, just assume since it was not bought at aLouis Vuitton boutique, it was a fake item? There are many "secrets" in the fashion industry and they are there to keep the buyers in the dark.

Did you know that defective handbags are sold at the Louis Vuitton warehouse in the USA? Did you know Gucci Italy sells their defective (ususally first run) bags to buyers who resell them to buyers in the USA as well as other countries. Did you know Gucci America denies such practices? They don't have a clue what goes on in Italy much less within their own holdings.

Remember these designers are in business to make money just like any other business. They are not going to throw bags away because there is a defect because they know women will buy their bags just to own one. There is surplus inventory sold by the designers everywhere! Everyone is familiar with Overstock who sells a large number of overstocked items. The designers are having their bags mass produced now to keep up with the demand. They all get sold either in a boutique, outlet store, jobbers or to the independent buyers. Your best buys are the 1 to 2 year old bags that never sold at one of the boutiques, outlets, independent stores and offered to independent online buyers.

Please know I have not seen this bag so I obviously cannot declare the condition or authenticity one way or the other. NO ONE can disqualitfy a handbag without examining it in person. A disqualification must be done be a reliable designer agent as no one else is trained and reliable to make such a statement.

She might have one or two pre-owned LV bags, but the new bags are counterfeits.

Just because a bag is used it doesn't make it authentic. There are plenty of fake 'vintage' designer bags on ebay.

I am deeply saddened that there are people out there who make a living out of scamming others of their hard-earned money. Why aren't there more efforts to police the counterfeit stores online?? If Hermes and Chanel can send out people to sue counterfeit sellers' asses off, why doesn't LV do the same? I dunno. Maybe it's already been done. But, the number of fakes out there is appalling... I think I may be a victim too.

Hi gro, I can't seem to PM you. Maybe cos I'm only newbie status??
I stated my woes in the Givenchy thread actually...

This is the link to my very sad auction...

http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTHENTIC-GIVENC...2%7C240%3A1318

I've been reading up about Paypal buyer protection cos I think I'm mentally prepared to receive a fake bag. Unfortunately, the tragic thing is, there is NO Givenchy boutique here for me to go to for authenticity advice.

I dunno how I should proceed from here. Do I file a claim with my credit card company once I receive the bag?

Thanks so much for wanting to help!! Any advice is appreciated!!!

mmmoon,

I'm sorry, but I don't know enough about Givenchy bags to give an opinion on this.

I see you posted in the Authenticate This Givenchy thread.......

If the bag you purchased does turn out to be a counterfeit, please go over to the ebay subforum as there are many members who have had the same problem.

You can do a search there or post your own thread for help.

If you do so, I will answer and try to help there,.

Hello, I also purchased from her and was scammed. Her purses are totally counterfeit and I truly hope that nobody purchases from her. I got my money back, but she charged me all sorts of restocking fees so after all that, I basically only got about 80% of my money back!
