It's weird though, because honestly, a lot of bags on eBay are fake, but the other aren't! It's just an instinct that you have to follow--Do you trust the stranger that lives on the other side of the world about this "authentic" bag or do you give up an opportunity of maybe owning an actual authentic bag. It's really up to the buyer. You just have to be extra careful and a bit of a risk taker! And don't forget to check the feedback!

Sorry, no help on the bag.. I also want a Nightingale, but I've never seen a fake Nightingale before.

Also, how much did you pay, if you don't mind?

The nightingale I got from Barneys (and returned as I couldn't make it work for me) had a black cloth lining. Mine was the newer style like Nicole Richie's - thinner shoulder strap, gold hardware. I think I've seen one auth nightingale on ebay :(

Is the lining the same color as the one posted above? The one that Reese is holding looks like the same lining.

I can't tell if it's fake or not. Can someone explain how to tell if these bags are real or fake? I'm interested in buying one too.

I personally wouldn't buy off ebay unless it was a reputable reseller or someone who sold tons of auth bags. You can get the Nightingale still at Barneys for $1295, the medium size. Sorry I can't help about how to tell if the ones on ebay are auth.

I would not buy that Nightingale. He sold one recently for $399 and there is NO way a seller would take that much of a loss on an auth Nightingale. I would only buy these from a reputable retailer/store like Barneys; otherwise you could get ripped off :(

As you can see, I decided NOT to get rid of mine. She's a keeper! I highly recommend it, it's a classic.

My black medium size nightingale just arrived from Barneys. The lining is black (satin material). I have the wrinkled type version so maybe it comes with a black lining??

I would be weary of buying it from Ebay. I looked for a long time and I thought $300 is still a lot of money for a fake bag. No matter how good of a fake it is - you still know it's fake. Save your money and buy the real one

I purchased my Nightengale a while back. I love to bag to death, and the leather is just soooo soft. The only problem is...because the clasps are open for the shoulder stap, when i am wearing it on my arm it tends to come off.

I'm not familiar enough with Givenchy to authenticate, but I wouldn't trust it, just based on the YSL muse he/she has listed, as well as all his/her feedback being listed as private and all seeming to be high-end bags (like the Zac Posen Aurora).

A little off topic but I bought a Zac Posen bag from that seller. Do you think that's fake too? I have never seen fake Zac Posen bags so I thought it must be authentic.
