I used to love to Cross Stitch...I even did a tablecloth once. But now come to think about it, where did that go?
![]() Any talented tPFers out there that are expert Cross-stitchers? Share with us some of your work for inspiration! I think cross stitching can be so beautiful! Any good recommendations to get started again? |

I tried once with one of those little Care Bear kits you get at Wal Mart. I ended up running out of floss and making it too large and it didn't fit in the frame it came with. I have a bunch of others I figured I could do, but once I screwed the first one up, I didn't try again.
![]() I'd love to see pics from people who actually know what they're doing though! |

I bought two pillow cases to cross stitch, I got one half way done. They are still sitting in my drawer waiting to be finished

I have a cross-stitch a day calendar that I got last year to teach my kids. They aren't quite ready for it, but if there is one for this year, it's full of small projects.
I did start a larger one this spring, but the kids spilled on it & it got stained, so I need to re-start or something. I have too many unfinished things. Grr. |

I tried to cross-stitch once and didn't have the patience. My mom LOVES to do cross-stitch and has been doing it for years. She makes some amazing stuff!

I love cross-stitching! I only have a couple examples of my work at my house though.
I made this for my dad quite a while ago: ![]() This is my ongoing project that I started almost 5 years ago... lol. I never have time to work on it anymore... hopefully this summer it will be finished! I chose this design because my grandmother has had a copy of this magazine cover on her bedroom wall for as long as I can remember.

As posted on the other thread, I have been crazy about x stitching since my cousin got preggie and started doing one yongs ago..
I self taught my self and after completing few small projects, I decided to go big and make a blanket ![]() the blanket has 12 squares of which I can x stitch with any patterns I want..I have fallen in love with 'Precious Moment' world series so I thought I would do 12 countries.. 2 years have gone past and I have only finished two squares (Russia and Japan) (pics attached)I just lost interest and it's such a drag for me to go back and resume where I left off...

Wow! Great stuff everyone!
I love to cross stitch. Here's the Four Horses of the Apocalypse I stitched. It took 18 months from stitch one to framing day: ![]() ![]() A close up of one of the horses:

I needlepointed for the first time (since I used to make rubber ducky cross-stitches back when I was about seven!) this summer. My boyfriend's family took me on an amazing vacation to the Bahamas with them, so I made this needlepointed photo album while we were laying on the beach and then filled it with photos of the trip for them!
http://amhdesignonline.com/Merchant5...tegory_Code=MS This kit was very "no-brainer," but I had so much fun doing it that I'd love to do something else! :) |

when i was younger, I loved to cross stitch. I made a couple for my mom that I gave her for mother's day and her birthdays. I havent been doing much cross stitch lately tho.
I have been working on this cross stitch project for 3 years now. I am lucky if I work on it once a month. So lazy.... someone motivate me. Maybe that should be my new year's resolution. To finish the cross stitch. |

My aunt loves cross stitching and got me some of those kits for kids when I was younger. I made these a few years ago as part of a gift to her (I think the Lizzie Kate patterns are so cute, and very easy!):
