Hiiiiiiiiiiii everyone! Thanks for the lovely words.
![]() I've been working since my last post, I'm on call at nights and somehow don't feel I have the head space to settle into sewing with that frigging phone sitting there next to me. Yesterday though was my last day of work before days off and leave, so I've endless days stretching out ahead of me for wonderful, wonderful sewing!!!! ![]() I'm going to stitch the rest of the front together this evening, I can't wait. Then I'll have to put it away again for a week because on Friday I'm going away to run my first marathon, and won't be back until this time next week. SO excited about the race, can't wait, but doing the quilt tonight will at least happily distract my overactive adrenal glands for a while..... ![]()

^ Good luck with your marathon! I am looking forward to additional snaps of your quilt in the coming weeks. Imagine how excited you will be once you have it together and finished! Are you keeping the first one for yourself?

Ooh I didn't get anything done last night, was just running around doing acres of laundry and making sure there's nothing in the house or fridge that would turn to a stinky mouldy mess in our absence! All I can think of is running anyway, my legs are jiggling non-stop and so is my brain, hahahaa!
![]() Kitty yup this one's for us! I don't think I could let it go! I've a billion projects for others coming up though, so will be sending the next few away. I can't wait to get stuck into them all, my poor DH will go spare with our big square dining table commandered again by my sewing machine and a big jumble of fabric, bits'n'bobs, and prayer flag lines of semi-sewn squares! ![]() ![]() Thanks for the good luck!

Wow! What a great job! You're so lucky to have the talent to do this. I am a huge quilt lover, but of course, I always buy them. LOL
The colors look so beautiful too. You did a great job at putting them together. I think I could probably design one okay, but I have zero sewing skills. Once I went to this quilt show where people had entered what they had made. They were all so lovely. They made you put gloves on before entering to look and touch the quilts. |

I'm back! My race was frickin' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did really well despite barely doing 1/4 what I should have in the 2 months prior due to injury, but I ran a 3:35 which was aroundabouts my goal before I got injured!!! It was the most amazing experience, absolutely incredible and I am majorly hooked on marathoning now! There's a brief race report in the Run Club Thread if anyone's interested, though I still need to do a full catch-up in there.
![]() And now I'm back home, and over the moon as I've 4 weeks off now to get stuck into sewing! I've a ton of projects I want to do but first of all I'm going to finish this quilt. So tomorrow stand by for more updates and a bunch more photos! Whoo! ![]()

Hi FrankieP, can't wait to see your quilt finished. I just discovered Amy Butler fabric and love it. I bought a piece to cover the seat of a french-style chair and a bit extra for a cushion. Think they're from the midwest range.
I've made 3 quilts over the past few years and love them. Anyway, congrats on you progress and looking forward to seeing the end result! |
