Default Being photographed
I figured that this thread belonged here because it has to do with photography

In 2 months I have a photoshoot scheduled with a guy who shoots for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anyway, I used to model up until about 4 years ago when I met a really shady photographer and he basically scared me out of something I loved.

Anyways, the shoot is supposed to be very tasteful and black and white implied nudity..some similar, but not exact shots (except the adriana lima shot) are to look like this:
http://i.d.com.com/i/dl/media/dlimag...60_medium.jpeg

I guess I just have some questions since I was so royally f-ed the last time. Should I bring a friend? Should he have someone there as a witness? For those of you who have done shots like these or any involving nudity, what should I know?

Thanks for any information or tips.

I would bring someone... just in case. I know girls who do some fantastic modeling, tasteful semi-nudes and what not and I think they always bring a male friend or SO unless they already know the photographer well.

I would definitely bring someone along. Let the photographer know in advance.

Yup, bring a friend and let the photographer know in advance - great advice. And don't be afraid to question anything that makes you uncomfortable. People who prey on other people can sense discomfort, reluctance and weakness in them, so be strong, confident and know that it's ok to ask why, or say no. You're a different person now - people change a lot in four years - so know thyself and kcik butt if anything makes you a bit iffy.

I'm sure you'll find this will be a completely different experience - I bet you'll leave feeling elated, gorgeous and free!

Definitely agree - one option is to possibly bring your own stylist/makeup artist if that works for the shoot. That way, you have someone that you trust for that part as well as the shoot.

You'll feel more relaxed and comfortable, either way having a friend along and that comes through in your pictures!

You´re older, more mature, your gut feeling will tell you if something isn´t right. Tell the photographer you´re bringing someone. And enjoy your experience !! That´s so cool !

It's up to you to make sure that this attempt does not go sorry, so bring someone you trust.
