So many crafters on TPF I wondered has anyone made their own bears/dolls? I have made quite a few but not so recently. Makes me want to start crafting again being in this sub forum as i've lacked recently Here's a few of what I have done in the past.

Those are beautiful! I have not made bears or dolls but am interested in learning. Are there usually classes-how would I learn? Tia:)

I don't know if there are classes I went in blind!! I first bought a really cheap bear pattern and some cheap fake material to learn from (not the better mohair from my above bears) and learnt from there, I was soon drawing all my own patterns which are all above. My sewing skills and nose making are terrible though lol which is why I designed the more kawaii style button nose bears

I think there were some free basic patterns online too and advice for bear beginners I am terrible I never take the easy option and take a class or buy a book I buy what I see and learn myself lol

These are awesome kezza! I love anything handmade, and would love to give doll or bear making in the future --- ATM, I'm still occupied with my hand embroidery and jewelry making addiction.

Do join! LOL Be warned, it's really addictive... but once you found your niche on jewelry making --- you'll rarely buy jewelry from stores anymore.:)

I hope to finish reorganizing my craft room very soon so I can start sewing simple stuffs.:) LOL

Thanks for the thread! Nicely made, OP.

I have made several stuffed animals (sorry, no pics – left them in the old country), currently I am struggling to make Angelina Ballerina rag doll. I bought a pattern that is not very nice and it needs a lot of work in the head department. Right now I am hooked up on customizing vinyl dolls – rerooting hair, cutting out painted eyes and installing acrylic life like ones, designing outfits – that kind of stuff. Unfortunately lately I did not have any time to do that. Some major changes came along and my hobby took a back seat but I am planning a come back :)
This is something I made for a friend’s child (the doll has a wig,).

Thank you, yes I made the bed. It is a prototype. It requires a lot of improvement but I finally found another use for packing peanuts.

Tell me about I have found so many beads and they have installed so many ideas for bracelets, madness. I have made 3 polish rings and bought some beads from China that were dirt cheap. I am running poor this month so i've only got a few things to try out if I would enjoy it and I love the rings I made

That is really impressive, love to see how people find use for things. Well Done!!
