Thanks! MIL used to have a pug that would have them and was on medication all her life but they think that was because she was dropped when they very first brought her home. This guy doesn't have a history of them so I wasn't sure if maybe it was breed related.

I looked into getting a rescue yorkie but I could not find one that we were "qualified" to adopt. They all had so many restrictions such as no kids in the home (I have two teenage boys), no other/older dogs (we have an 8 year old mini schnauzer), no other pets in the home (we have kitties too) so we were out of luck there. I realize that a lot of rescue animals have special needs so I do understand the need to be careful but we are a loving home that treats our pets as well as our children (sometimes better the kids say, lol). I also looked at our are shelter (we have one that covers the surrounding areas instead of multiple shelters) but could not find a yorkie. Due to my son's allergies we can olny adopt yorkies, shih tzus or mini scnauzers as they are the only dog breeds that he has never had a reaction to. So, to shorten this long post a bit, we went to a breeder. They only have one litter a year if that and they welcomed us into their home and then showed off all their adult "babies." They do not advertise "teacups" or "micro minis" and said that they try to breed within the normal range, never trying to get tiny pups. It was such a positive experience to have these breeders asking me a million questions and deciding if we were appropriate before they would allow us to adopt Lola. I felt like they really cared where she was going and they even turned down others before us. One of their adult yorkies was the last pup left in a litter several years ago and it just so happened that the only people that were interviewed did not meet their standards so AJ never left! I am super excited to get Lola from a loving home and I can't wait to get my hands on her little kissie face!!!
That puppy is so cute!
