My dear fellow tPF members, I was just made aware of this horrible crime that has been committed against a 6 month old pup named Karley. It occurred in a county not far from where I live and the owners are asking that a petition be signed so that they prosecute this monster to the fullest extent of the law. PLEASE, PLEASE add your name to the list so that Karley receives justice and can know that not all humans are monsters!!! Please forward to any/all of your friends, family that might sign it as well. Oh they found him. He is the assistant fire chief (I believe of LA county). He is trying to claim that the puppy attacked his thumb and almost ripped it off. Witnesses say that this 200 lb. man, literally beat this poor pup with his fists, then a rock and then tried to dislocate the pups jaw!! Our surrounding communities are outraged and there will be a protest tomorrow calling for the arrest and full prosecution of this monster. Most everyone wants him fired and prosecuted. Right now, the family is trying to get as many signatures on the petition so that the DA will go after this scumbag!!

I feel so sick at these people. Whatever happens this guy should never be allowed to work in such a responsible job again. I hope he ends up sweeping the streets. After he gets out of prison of course. God bless the poor little dog.

Well now we know that there are links that even I can't bring myself to click. miu's summary was more than enough.

Do they think the puppy will be OK? Does he have a forever home yet?

If only tears could make him well, I hope they are giving him medicine for pain?

^the puppy didn't make it, the vets had to put her out of her pain. there was no hope for her. she is now pain free.

it's stories like these that reinforce my believe that evil exists in this world. I would go medieval on that guy given the chance.

I thought that one of the articles I had read said that he had vanished, I know that they know who did it, is he still at his job? I signed the petition last night, I don't care what this guys excuse is their is no good explanation for what he did.

Thanks for the link to just the petition page. I couldn't bring myself to click before. I can't see pictures or I will lose it. Reading the description in the posts in here was more than I can really handle.

I am not a violent person, but I seriously believe I could beat this man within an inch of his life and not feel one iota of guilt or sympathy for him.

The sad thing is that this creep may end up retiring from the FD before he gets charged. This could mean that he will be receiving a pension for the rest of his life!! I have read quite a bit of news articles on this poor excuse of a human being and most of them say that this guy rules through intimidation and should have been ousted from the fire dept long ago. I hope the memory of little Karley takes him down!! Again, please tell other members of tPF to simply sign the petition if they agree with it. I know that tPF is strong and together we do have a powerful voice. This may just set a precedent that helps to aggressively prosecute those who commit animal cruelty!!
