Occasionally one of mine will get the squirts. Thankfully, it usually only lasted a day or so. If it persisted I would check with a vet and change up their food a bit.

She is just darling.....looks like it was a fun party!

When one of my cats has the poops I normally starve the patient for 24 hours (keeping lots of fresh water available) then feed small amounts of cooked chicken and boiled white rice. If it comes back again or lasts more than two days we make a quick trip to the vet.
Hope this helps - feel better, Poppy!

Thanks ladies, luckily it only seemed to last just over a day and she was all back to normal. My mum had bothered me by suggesting that it could be worms causing it but i do worm her, even though i use the powdered wormer and it is really difficult to get her to take it, i think tablets may be better in the future...

Also when do they usually suggest that they get neutered nowadays? I heard at about 4 months old but she is past that already and hasn't had a menstrual cycle yet so i am really unsure...

Here are some more recent pics of her, she is obsessed with towels at the moment and as soon as somebody drops one she parks herself down and refuses to move

They fix cats very young now----as young as 3-4 months. They say getting the girls fixed young may help prevent them getting breast cancer later. I lost a mother/daughter to breast cancer...........I didn't get them fixed until late because they were indoor kitties and it is such an ordeal for the girls as opposed to the *snip* for the boys.

She is gorgeous!

Poppy looks so much like my own Poppy, who passed earlier this year....she is a beautiful girl! As for neutering, over here, it's around six months. Agree with poopsie, get it done earlier rather than later. Maia-Annabel was spayed just after her six month birthday and recovered in what felt like moments - she was racing around the house that night, up and down the curtains....it didn't hold her back one bit.

Kitten season is starting now, and even the younger kitties are likely to go into heat soon. You don't need to wait for her to start singing "I Feel Pretty" and rolling around and howling. Stinky started having gentleman callers when she was around 4 months, and before she went into heat.

I would talk to your vet and see if they are willing to do it soon so you don't risk any unwanted litters.

Thankyou all so much for the wonderful advice, we have called the vets to book her in for her to be neutered and for her jabs. She is purely an indoor kitty so i am not so worried about unwanted pregnancies but i know that it is best for the cats health for them to be neutered. Plus she will not have to go through those pesky menstrual cycles and i want her to have the best (and longest) life possible.

She is curled up beside me as i type, she has turned into my daughters playmate in the daytime and my husbands shadow in the early evening and then i get her when i am up late dealing with my insomnia and everybody else is in bed

She eats a TON though, i really can't remember my past cats eating so much, but then again she is a much bigger kitten than they were, i swear that she is half panther, she is such a lovely cat though, gotta love her

Haha i love it!

The naughty one has been terrorising my doggy again all day, i honestly do not know how staffordshire bull terriers get such a bad rep as my Roxie just lets Poppy bully her, Poppy will dangle from her ears and she just sits there and occasionally will look at me like 'help' and i feel so sorry for her that i have to try and get Poppy to leave her alone

We've had male pups as young as 10 weeks old nuetered. My chihuahua is very tiny so we had to wait until she was 6 months old to have her spayed. The vet goes by their weight. Poppy is a female, right? If you get her spayed before her first heat I've heard it cuts down on her chances of developing cancer, not sure how accurate that is though.
