I saw this thread and couldn't ignore it.

I've helped by emailing the TV Station.

If everyone could do the same it would help! Emailing only takes a few minutes. There's a saying, "Ever drop fills a teacup"

Hopefully, my contribution and others will urge them to broadcast it because that will bring much needed resources.

I would love to temporary foster them until they find permanent homes, but it might be hard to have them cross over the border.

Pinkcaviar, thanks! You're right - every bit helps! On other forums, mass emailing has worked in some cases, in some cases not! No harm trying!

Haven't heard from any orgn that was emailed yet but one of my friends in the US wrote to Fox, ABC, CNN etc. Please do the same.

This is so heartbreaking. I just emailed PETA, HSUS, and the ASPCA about this tradgedy. I really wish I could take all of them, but I can't adopt even one right now. I really hope that they make it.

Thanks, purplekitty2. Please do me a favour, I'm rushing offline now (do have to work!) - please start a thread here asking people to help send emails to NBC etc, plead with the mods to let it stay on for the next few hours at least.

Thank you!

Passerby: that is a good idea, but i am rather new to purseblog and I don't know how to start a thread, but if anyone can give me instruction on how to do this, I will be more than happy to. I am going to continue contacting people.

I emailed both my local news stations about this - thanks so much for bringing it to our attention. I pray they all get adopted :(

I emailed wnn news station. I also emailed the "Give a dog a bone" foundation in San Francisco. I don't know if they can help but it doesn't hurt to email them.

Here's an idea
If anyone across the country wants to adopt, maybe we can do some fund raising to cover the shipping fees. I myself cannot adopt one but sure don't mind contributing some money so these pets can be adopt.

Again, if I can help with anything else just let me know.

I would be so willing to help with financing shipping a dog cross country to an adopted home. This is such a tragedy. Why must animals be punished for a person's stupidity? (Ok.. I realize that she may be disturbed, but I hate to see such beautiful loving creatures pay the price!)

I e-mailed the news station. No word back yet on whether they will ship. I hope the delay is because there are so many requests to adopt these lovely animals!

Oh no! It just breaks my heart to see these animals without homes. I wish I could take one home.

I'm not sure where exactly it was, but one PETA chapter on the East Coast (I *think* it was Pennsylvania) "rescued" some animals from local people telling them that they were going to be adopted ... never happened. They killed the animals and dumped them in a dumpster. It was a HUGE deal last year.

So...Stick with the Humane Society and private charities if at all possible.

OK, I couldn't sleep anymore, so I'm back!

Oh God, really?

Well, if everyone could definitely IGNORE PETA and stick with all the other email addresses and contact suggestions in this thread, then.

Thank you!

I've posted this story everywhere I could think of. Has anyone heard an update from this group? How many dogs have they gotten out???

I thought maybe we should email them, to let them know what we're trying to do here; perhaps it will prompt a stay of execution? We can but hope!

Hi and welcome, purplekitty!

Just click on the General discussion link (near the top of the page) to return to the forum and then click on the button, near the top of the page.

It's all pretty self-explanatory from there.
