My cat loves strawberries! Weird

Ok, so I tried it with my kitty...he started licking the strawberry for a little bit..and then put his head down after a while (uninterested)..he's still laying out the couch....lol!! I guess every kitty is different.

One of my cats goes berserk for grapes and apples. Never tired strawberries but I will now.

Hehe...I'm a few months late reading his post, but as I type, my cat is sleeping pressed up against a plate of strawberries. She loves them! And check out my avatar - that's her a week or so ago napping in a bowl of strawberries.

My cat loves bananas, it is the only kind of fruit she will eat though.

It's funny because no one else in my family likes them, but my Mom still buys them at the supermarket just for the cat :)

Hehe, I know, I couldn't stop laughing at the poor kitty when I saw her asleep like that. Here are two of the same incident, hopefully a little bit clearer. I took them with my webcam (had to move quick lest she woke up!) so they're not great quality.

My old dog likes lettuce if it has salad dressing on it. She likes tomato salsa too. Orange juice but not oranges.

One of our cats is just really wierd in general (he also likes to drink from the tap when it's running at full force) LOVES cheese.. and not stuff like cheddar but soft cheeses like brie and goat cheese. He also loves dog kibble.. he sits in front of the bag and begs for it.

both dogs and cats can like specific fruit and veggies. cats are waaaaay more carnivorous than dogs are so its always surprising to see them eat anything other than meat. Its rare but it happens. Just always make sure the fruit/veggie is something thats okay for them to eat via a Vet Website before offering anything to them and never try to turn your cat or dog into a total vegetarian. They need animal protein and again, cats much more than dogs. When you think dogs, think of their distant cousin the bear who is an omnivore really. When meat is not available, they will survive on berries and various vegetation because they can if necessary but not entirely. They need both.

avocados are not poisonous to dogs. but they are EXTREMELY fattening. The oil is good for the fur and skin so its best to give them supplements containing avocado oil.
