It sounds like she was lucky to have such a great person find her. Teila was a beautiful bird! I'm so sorry for your loss.

I know how badly it feels when a loved furry (or feathered) friend passes away.

I am so sorry about your beautiful Teila. I'm in tears right now.

I love all the adorable photos of Teila..What a little sweetie-pie. That poem is so beautiful. May your litle Angel Teila Rest In Peace

I truly believe that you will be reunited one special day.

I have had pet birds in the past and know that they are the sweetest, affectionate, most loving little creatures. I'm teared up just thinking about my feathered babies.

Thanks that is so nice of you. I am sure it would be very therapeutic for me. I just got my Foster and Smiths bird catalog and my DH told me not to look at it since he thought it would make me sad. I told him it actually made me happy to see the birds. On about page nine there was a large photo of a Lutino Cockatiel that looked just like my baby Teila and it made me smile.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She's really beautiful and it sounds like you treated her with so much kindness and love.

A friend of mine had a bird that she adored--it was the first time I saw how a bird can be a companion. I hope that doesn't sound ignorant.

She knew she was loved. Bless your heart.

boxermom you are so kind. No it does not sound ignorant. Before Teila I could not comprehend the love these feathered little bodies contained. The amount of love Teila gave was so much bigger than she was.
