Hi girls I recently purchased a gorgeous Black w/silver rocco NWT from a wonderful tpfer and the bag smells like beautiful new leather...Today I just received NWT Beige w/silver Rocco from a seller on ebay and the bag is gorgeous but it smells so bad. I don't even know how to describe the smell but it most certainly has covered up any leather smell the bag should of had. I emailed the seller asking her what it could possibly be she claimed she bought the bag on 5/29 opened the bag took pictures and put it back in the bag and it has been in the bag ever since (alexander Wang Plastic bag). She told me to air it out and maybe the smell will go away, which is what I am going to try to do. Has anyone had this experience with a smelly Rocco? I am so upset

I've purchased several AW bags and never had one smell bad. Could it be mold from being stored in the plastic bag? Maybe. I would send it back because there is no guarantee the smell will come out.

Thanks Boxermomof2, today it doesn't smell as strong as it did yesterday... I am gonna wait a few days and see if it goes away all together. I hope so

Update: the smell is completely gone after leaving it out. Yay I am so glad

i had this happen to me a couple of years ago, and I was new to AW, didnt know the "knockoff" signs but the bag I bought off of ebay was a fake. And it smelled horrific, The airing out process didnt work for me, and I never bought another AW from ebay. I'm not saying yours is fake, because the bag I got looked real.

The bags I purchased from Neimans/Bergdorf's and Barney's all had a clean leather smell. Your NWT bag SHOULD NOT SMELL
I ended up getting a full refund from paypal, it was a bad seller/fake bag.
