Since it was impossible for me to find a pic of these side-by-side, I thought I'd share.

Now for the quandary. I got the brass Rocco at Bluefly for a steal but was disappointed with the brass IRL. Before I sent it back, I wanted to compare it to the pale gold to make sure pale gold is really what I wanted instead. So, I ordered a pale gold from Barneys at full price, telling myself it was only for comparison purposes and if I really wanted a pale gold, I'd return this one and wait till one went on sale. Well, I LOVE the pale gold and the pebbling is great on it. And I don't wanna return it. Surprise. Surprise. So, what do you all think? Should I return the pale gold and wait for a sale? Do the pale golds go on sale often?

And, as a side note, I will be returning the brass to Bluefly unless someone wants to buy it from me. I got it for $600 and it's brand new, tags still attached and all. I have no issue returning it but feel like SOMEONE needs to take advantage of this deal. Message me if interested and thanks in advance for your advice!

IMO the only things that make the Rocco more than just another black satchel are the studs and the pebbling. Those pale gold studs really *pop*. Your pictures are dynamite in showing the differences between the two!

Keep the one you want even if it's full price!!!

PALE GOLD ALL THE WAY!!!!!!! love me some BLING! i think that's what makes Rocco such a statement bag without trying too hard, KWIM? it's the gorgeous pebbly leather and those studs!! i paid retail for both my Rocco and Rockie and would do it again in a heartbeat, no hesitation since u never know if/when they're gonna sell out! (case in point... the coveted LATTE rocco w/ rosegold that's impossible to find now!!) and btw, pale gold looks like silver in ur pics!! and i find my rosegold sometimes looks like pale gold!

I personally love both.
If you prefer the Pale Gold I would definitely return it anyways.
Barneys do sales quiet often and I was always wondering why they do those sales on black Roccos as well as on the colorful ones.
I have had an eye on the Rocco in Pale Gold for about 1 year now and it always came back in stock at Barneys.
I would keep in mind that the Rocco is a bag that might come with a lot of quality issues.
I got the Brass to sort of 'try' it out first. I feel like I will definitely purchase one in Pale Gold later on, but the quality issues seem to be so overwhelming and that's why getting a Rocco on sale is definitely the only way to go for me personally. And since pale gold always comes back you should wait for a sale.
I've seen it on sale quiet a few times, it was around $600, can't remember the exact price though.

@makesmesmile: I agree with you 100%. I've seen them at around $600-$700 on sale, which makes $875 so hard to swallow. It's just such a gorgeous bag and hard to give back.

@themaine: The pic where I'm farthest from the mirror kinda shows the gold. Yes, there's definitely a gold tone to it. I love it!

You should keep the pale gold! looks gorgeous! If you return it with the intention of buying it on sale, what if you dont find one at all or do not find a good one with pebbles all over like this one...do u want to risk it?

I brought mine in rose gold recently. In Canada it is $955 plus 13% tax...So, Yeah i paid quite a bit but they are impossible find here at all, let alone on any sales...If i were in your shoes and u love the pale gold and the pebbles on it i would keep it and use it! JMHO.

I absolutely adore the pale gold. Personally I think you should keep the one you love more, regardless of the price. If you don't love it, the price isn't really a deal, in my opinion.

AngeCS29- You are right. The studs do have a gold color to them in that picture. I want to get a pale gold one too. I will have to wait for a sale though.

I have never seen that pale gold before, it kinda looks silvery in the pics. Honestly i think of the 2 i prefer the brass one. I liked the shiny gold bullet studs version that came out in 2010 the best though...

The pale gold pops, but they both look great. Pick the one with the best pebbles.

Verdict: Keeping the pale gold. I've been wearing it all day today and LOVE it! I know if I waited I could probably get one on sale but at this point I'm so tired of the search, I'm OK with full price :) Husband would have heart palpitations if he read this!
