So, long story...

I've been stalking the Rocco for a while now. I considered the black with antiq brass and black with pale gold. I love the way the bag looks on Kristen Cavalari and decided the antiq brass was the color for me.

Fast forward to last week when Bluelfy had the black antiq rocco on sale for $600. I saw that and immediately jumped on it. Well, the bag arrived today and although it's beautiful, the brass just doesn't pop like I thought it would.

Now for the dilemma: I've never seen the pale gold IRL before and it seems really hard to find online, especially with bullets and not cupcakes (if it even comes in bullets). What do you all think I should do? From the pics, the pale gold almost looks silver and like it overwhelms the bag. Should I keep the antique brass? I know even for $600 I should only keep the bag if I'm 100% happy, but I'm wondering if I've built this bag up to the point now where that's impossible. Ugh. HELP! What do you think?? Anyone have good true to life pics of the pale gold??

I think it looks great. You lucked out with the pebbling too. I have a black/brass and get a lot of compliments.

I've never heard of the Black w/ Pale Gold Bullet. I don't even think it exists.
Personally, I like Black w/ Antique Brass a lot better.
It's not overwhelming like Pale Gold can be. (speaking about Black w/ Cupcake Studs)

I'd keep it since it has beautiful pebbles! I'm pretty sure that the Bullet Studs don't exist in Pale Gold.
If they existed, they would probably look as awful (to me) as the Bullet Studs in Rose Gold. I think they look cheap (almost fake) and take away the "pricey" look of the Rocco.

what a tough choice!! here's my take on it....

black w/ brass bullets
pros: classy and timeless! it is, after all, the bag that started it all!
cons: most copied/faked rocco out there, doesn't "pop" (but again, not meant to since it's more refined)

black w/ pale gold cupcake - btw, there's no pale gold bullet version, only cupcake
pros: bright and modern; i've also heard cupcake weighs a little less than bullet studs
cons: too "blingy"

this is coming from someone who has the black w/ rosegold combo. this is seriously my FAVORITE bag i own! this is just my opinion, but the bling is totally awesome! i get so many compliments on it and it matches with everything. i think the classic shape of Rocco and gorgeous pebbling really balance out the studs, which give the overall design an aesthetic omph!! if that makes sense!

lastly, i don't think u should let the price issue weigh in (even though that's tempting); i paid full retail for mine and would do it all over again bc it's the exact combo i want! btw, u did luck out with the brass one - the pebbling is GORGEOUS!! let us know what u decide!

Thanks for the input! I do think the deal I got on the bag is weighing in on me wanting to keep it and I agree, it shouldn't. The other issue is that I have a black Balenciaga City with dark brass hardware, making the antique brass Rocco a little redundant :/

I own the brass and the silver. In my experience, the antique brass gets little attention but the silver hw gets comments all the time. I really love them both.

Here are some quick pics that I took comparing the antique brass to the silver hw. Quite a few people mentioned that the pale gold was silver-ish...so maybe these pics will help you a little.

I thought the same thing about the brass/black combo.............am hoping to see a rose gold/black bag irl

ITA that for $600 I would want to be head over heels. Bluefly has a generous return policy............maybe keep it for a bit and see if it grows on you.

This. Give it a couple of days or a week- when I first got my Lia in the black/brass combo I was kind of 'meh' about it when I took it out of the box. Two days later I couldn't put it down and now it's absolutely one of my favorite and most worn bags- besides, I like the subtler look of the brass, as compared to the silver. I'd sleep on it for a few and then make your decision- the light gold cupcake studs are gorgeous too and if you find it's those that are really calling your name, return the Bluefly Rocco and put the money aside until one pops up. Let us know what you decide, good luck!

I just brought the Rose Gold Black Rocco today and i was deciding between the one i got and the one you got... Rose Gold WON!!. it does not look pink gold while worn, looks like pale gold but boy it pops!!! and the brass one will not pop as much in comparison either to the rose gold or the pale gold(earlier versions). Listen to what your heart says, if its not love and you have already not cut off the tags, woman, you need to hunt down a pale gold or gotta go see the rosegold in person!!! MHO :)
